Nicknamed the “Marensin Pearl”, the tiny seaside station of Soustons, in the Landes department, is located in an exceptional environment. It offers to vacationers a wonderful beach of more than 3 miles and numerous trails in the biggest forest massif of France. The nature is very welcoming, greenery is everywhere and promenade lovers enjoy of Pandelles and Point des Vergnes as well as of the numerous lakes and ponds surrounding the town (namely Soustons, Hardy, Blanc and Pinsolle ponds)… Soustons is reknown for having been one of the former French President François Mitterrand’s places of residence but also for the numerous activities offered: sailing, surfing, canoeing, rugby… The golf of Pinsolle, bordered by a pond, is one of the nicest of the region.
The long Soustons beach is a famous spot for surfing. Surf schools let you learn and have fun safely. It is very popular in summer but it is on the Albret lake that families like to gather to have a bath or sail in a safe place.
Vieux-Boucau beaches are located at a few miles to the north. To the south, you will find the beaches of Seignosse (17 min by car) or Hossegor (24 min).

The Golf of Pinsolle
Summer markets are an opportunity to discover local products They take place every Thursday and Friday nights and every Monday morning on the place of the Arenes. There is also the Darrigade farm which will provide you with delicious terroir products !
Huchet Stream
The Huchet Stream, true umbilical cord between the Leon pond and the Atlantic ocean, constitute a place with a rich history and many traditions. It is full of a large diversity of plants and animals. It is the only stream of the Gascony gulf.
The Huchet Stream has been place in a natural reserve in order to conserve a unique place with a great richness in botanics by limiting human activities such as tourism. It makes 618 hectares.
Blanc and Noir pond
The Blanc pond (or White pond) is really white ! Above all when the sky is a bit grey and is refleting in him. By small groups, with friends, you will be able to rent a small boat or a canoe for a ramble or a fishing moment. You will be in an absolute calm, accompagnied by wild ducks. A unique experience.
The Noir pond (or Black pond) is different. It is black because deeper. That gives him a quite mysterious ambiance. Smaller, you can go there by feet, on a wooden pontoon. Be carefull ! Do not disturb its residents: turtles, dragonflies, woodpeckers, otters. Tropical ambiance and deconnexion garanteed ! Children will love it.
